On April 10, 2026, a scientific event dedicated to the celebration of the Week of Tajik Science was held at the Research Center for Ecology and Environment of Central Asia (Dushanbe) of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan.
As part of the event, a scientific lecture was delivered by Professor Li Yaoming from the Xinjiang Institute of Ecology and Geography of the Chinese Academy of Sciences on the topic: “Grassland Research in Central Asia: Progress and Future Challenges.”

During his presentation, Professor Li Yaoming provided detailed information on recent scientific achievements in grassland studies, the current situation, and existing challenges in the Central Asian region. Issues related to the efficient and sustainable use of natural resources, environmental protection, and the improvement of pasture management systems were also discussed.

The event was attended by scientists and researchers from various institutions of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan, including representatives of the Institute of Botany, Plant Physiology and Genetics, the E.N. Pavlovsky Institute of Zoology and Parasitology, and other scientific organizations. Academicians Hisoriev H.H., Yakubova M.M., Corresponding Member of NAS of Tajikistan, as well as Professors Abdulloev H.A. and Gulov S.M. also took part and actively participated in the discussion.
Such scientific events contribute to strengthening international cooperation, exchanging experience, and advancing research in ecology and environmental studies, particularly in the field of sustainable pasture management.
