The Center’s laboratories are equipped with modern scientific instrumentation, and chemical, biological, environmental, and geological analyses are conducted as part of joint research projects. The laboratories are accredited under the national accreditation system of the Republic of Tajikistan in accordance with the requirements of the national standard (GOST ISO/IEC 17025-2019).

LABORATORY OF ECOLOGY AND ENVIRONMENT

The main directions of scientific research of the laboratory:

  • environmental monitoring,
  • the impact of climate change on the environment and ecosystems,
  • anthropogenic impact on the environment,
  • monitoring of water resources and glaciers,
  • monitoring the impact of man-made processes on the environment.

The laboratory is equipped with modern scientific instruments and equipment.

LABORATORY OF GEOLOGY AND MINERAL RESOURCES

The main directions of scientific research of the laboratory:

  • study of the geological structure and minerals of Tajikistan,
  • study of tectonic processes and their impact on climate change in the Cenozoic history of the development of the Central Asian region,
  • a comprehensive study of the Mesozoic and Cenozoic sedimentary rocks of Tajikistan and their significance for assessing the paleogeographic and climatic conditions of past geological periods,
  • petrological and isotope-geochemical studies of igneous and metamorphic strata of Pomir and Tien-Shon,
  • the study of modern exogenous geological processes and assessment of the risk of natural disasters associated with them in the territory of Tajikistan,
  • conducting geo-ecological studies in the areas of mining enterprises and their technogenic impact on the environment, etc.

The laboratory is equipped with modern scientific instruments and equipment.

CHINESE-TAJIK JOINT LABORATORY FOR THE PROTECTION AND USE OF BIOLOGICAL RESOURCES

The main directions of scientific research in the laboratory:

  • the study of biological diversity,
  • assessment of the state of biological resources,
  • the study of medicinal plants,
  • taxonomy, biogeography and development of dryland species,
  • identification and application of genes adapted to stressful conditions,
  • re-registration (inventory) of biological diversity,
  • the restoration of degraded ecosystems, etc.

3) Determination of organic and inorganic nitrogen content in soil and plant samples

4) Determination of available nitrogen content in soil samples

5) Determination of total, organic, and inorganic phosphorus content in plant and soil samples

6) Determination of available phosphorus content in soil samples (phosphorus absorbable by plants)

7) Determination of organic carbon-containing compounds in soil

8) Extraction and analysis of DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid) in plant and soil samples

9) Electrophoretic analysis of DNA and proteins

10) Determination of dissolved oxygen in water samples

11) Study of physiological and biochemical plant parameters: determination of soluble sugars, proteins, proline, starch, peroxidase, malondialdehyde, etc., in plants

12) Determination of urease, phosphatase, sucrase, peroxidase, and polyphenol oxidase activity in soil

13) Determination of total organic and inorganic nitrogen (in various forms) in water

14) Determination of total organic and inorganic phosphorus (in various forms) in water

15) Determination of soil cation exchange capacity (the total amount of cations that soil colloids can adsorb)

16) Analysis of trace element content in geology, agriculture, medicine, public health, and food and environmental monitoring
