On December 13, 2023, in the city of Dushanbe the Founder of national peace and unity -  Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon and the Chairman of the Majlisi Milli Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, Mayor of Dushanbe, dear Rustami Emomali opened the buildings of the National Crisis Management Center of the Committee for Emergency situations and civil defense under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.

The center is equipped with modern equipment and information technology that provide access to operational information about natural disasters, their analysis, warning the population, managing the forces and means of the unified system of the Republic of Tajikistan for the prevention and response to emergencies with the presented system.

The President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Mr. Emomali Rahmon, in the hall of the Commission for Emergency Situations, became familiar with the technological capabilities of obtaining information about possible natural situations and coordinating forces and means of preventing them.

The National Crisis Management Center of the Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan is the operational management body of the unified state system of the Republic of Tajikistan, designed to prevent and eliminate emergency crises and emergencies.

The Research Center for Ecology and Environment of Central Asia (Dushanbe), starting from 2021 in collaboration with the Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, is jointly implementing the Program “Monitoring deformation processes of the Sarez Lake dam based on the use of BeiDou satellite system technology”.

Based on this Program, deformation processes occurring at the Usoi Dam and on the shores of Lake Sarez, especially areas at risk of landslides, using BeiDou satellite system technology are automatically monitored in real time.

This program is connected to the National Crisis Management Center of the Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, in a certain system it facilitates access to operational information about possible natural situations in the area of Lake Sarez, their analysis, warning the population, management of forces and means of the unified system of the Republic Tajikistan on prevention and assistance in liquidation of emergencies.
