On January 18, 2022, in Dushanbe, within the framework of the UNDP / GEF project “Conservation and sustainable use of the Pamir-Alai and Tien Shan ecosystems for the protection of the snow leopard and sustainable life of communities”, a seminar was held on the topic “Issues of the conservation of the Snow Leopard in Tajikistan: the main Achievements and Future Challenges”.

  At the seminar, reports were heard and discussed on the conservation of snow leopard ecosystems, methods for monitoring the snow leopard population, assessing the state of the population of the main prey of the snow leopard, the use of unmanned aerial vehicles in monitoring and comprehensive research of natural ecosystems, analysis of international and national legal acts on the conservation of biodiversity and others.
