On October 20, 2021, the Center held the International Scientific Conference "Development of the Silk Road, adaptation to climate change, ecology and environmental protection" online. The online conference was attended by scientists and specialists from specialized scientific organizations of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan and the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, a number of universities in Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Russia. Of the 33 reports submitted, 25 presentations were heard at the conference.

  Scientific reports were devoted to topical issues of climate change, the environment, biodiversity of ecosystems, changes in pasture ecosystems under the influence of climate change and technogenic pressure, the use of Earth remote sensing methods for scientific purposes, the impact of climate change on aquatic ecosystems, glaciers, crop yields, etc.
