The article provides an analysis and review of the features of operational monitoring and mapping in the general system of disaster risk management using Earth remote sensing (ERS) methods. In the conditions of inaccessibility of the mountainous territories of Tajikistan, the use of remote sensing is relevant and in demand.
The implementation of the goals and objectives in the field of mapping and monitoring areas affected by natural disasters was carried out by capturing individual aerial photographs and video streams in real-time using small-unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), which are an important tool for urgent investigation of the consequences of emergency situations (ES). The developed recommendations for disaster risk management include introducing a system of operational monitoring and mapping of areas affected by these phenomena. It has been confirmed that they help reduce time, costs and risks associated with working at an emergency location and obtain high-resolution information that allows you to make prompt decisions to eliminate the consequences.
